Gogo Business Aviation has announced new hourly pricing plans for turboprop and light jet operators, saying it is making inflight connectivity for business aviation affordable and predicable for all airframes.

Starting at $39 per hour, it says the new service plans provide the convenience of in-flight connectivity with predictable pricing – no overage fees and no surprises.

With the new plans there is no need to buy blocks of hours and no minimum monthly fee. After paying for the first hour, customers then pay only for what they use and incur fees only when the service is being utilised.

Andy Geist, senior vice president of sales for Gogo Business Aviation, said: “After speaking with owners in the turboprop and light jet markets, the feedback we received was that predictable pricing plans are important.

“So we created the new hourly plans with the customer in mind to offer plans with predictability and no overages.”

Leveraging its long-standing expertise in the business aircraft market, Gogo Business Aviation’s new plans open up connectivity options for turboprops and light jets at rates previously not offered.

Two service plans will be available starting July 15: the ATG 1000 at $39 per hour and the ATG 2000 at $99 per hour.

John Wade, Gogo Business Aviation’s executive vice president and general manager, said: “The predictability and affordability of these plans make it easy for owners and operators to budget for in-cabin connectivity services using the Gogo ATG 1000 or ATG 2000 systems.

“This fundamentally changes the pricing structure for adding connectivity on light jets and turboprops.”

ATG 1000

Via the Gogo Biz network, the ATG 1000 enables high-performance e-mail with attachments, voice and text for only $39 per hour.

Pilots, passengers and business owners can stay connected using their own smartphones and mobile numbers via the included Gogo Text & Talk capability. Up to five personal Wi-Fi devices – including smartphones, tablets and laptops – can be connected simultaneously.

Select cockpit and operational applications can be used with the ATG 1000 system through Gogo’s partnerships with FlightAware, ForeFlight, Honeywell and WSI Corporation.

Pilots connected to the Gogo system are able to receive continuously-updated flight information and decision-support tools to help streamline their aeronautical decision-making.

The ATG 1000 is also compatible with the Gogo OnePhone cabin handset. A complete ATG 1000 equipment package is available for $35,000 MSRP, excluding installation and certification costs.

If a customer with an ATG 1000 system wants to add Internet connectivity at a later date, the ATG 1000 is software-upgradable, providing the unique ability to add connectivity features, such as Web browsing, at any time.

ATG 2000

The ATG 2000 delivers Internet connectivity to enable in-flight Web browsing and email, as well as most apps, for a $99 per hour rate. Gogo’s Text & Talk is available as an additional option. MSRP for a complete ATG 2000 equipment package is $47,300 excluding installation and certification costs.
